Education and Career Development

At AMSA, we strive to extend the scope of our members' medical education through institutes, international exchanges and other career developing opportunities.

• AMSA Academy
  AMSA Academy is a training ground for physician leaders, established by and for students. The Academy strives to empower medical students to effect change in medicine. Combining didactic with experiential learning, AMSA Academy courses take medical students through the core competencies of leadership and project implementation, while building on key principles of important topics in medicine.

• International Exchanges
  The International Federation of Medical Student Associations (IFMSA) is an established federation of medical student associations from across the world recognized as an important non-governmental organization and collaborative partner by WHO, UNESCO, other UN agencies and several INGOs, such as the Global Health Forum. IFMSA’s exchange program is well-established and offers medical students throughout the world the opportunity to participate in clerkships, research activities, exchanges, and electives across the world.

  From conferences to leadership institutes to internship opportunities, there is something here for everyone.

• Career Development 
  AMSA's Career Development program is designed to help physicians-in-training along all aspects of their career paths. Resources include medical school and residency program surveys and assessments.
